Cynthia Bailey Writes A Letter About Her Friendship With Nene Leakes

So Cynthia Bailey did a looong dissertation about her friendship with NeNe Leakes that was published by Uptown Magazine. Unfortunate their friend has come to end and it doesn’t look like there is any resolving it. They both have released statements on the status of their friendship both having valid points.

Cynthia has had the most pinned up frustration hence the length of this easy. I almost didn’t read it because it was longer than Kenya’s statement and it pained me to read that one. I like Cynthia so I just took out some of the high lights.

Cynthia ripped into NeNe in the first paragraph as she looks back on the years they have been friends.

Since the airing of the Watch What Happens Live episode featuring my fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Nene Leakes that essentially gave her a platform to show how vindictive and vicious she can really be, I have been bombarded with questions and requests for interviews about my views on what really transpired between Nene and I, and why our friendship ended.

The friendship was real! Mrs. Bailey made it perfectly clear that their was no acting and the friendship you saw was real and we did believe it! I honestly think we all were rooting for their friendship.

First and foremost, the friendship you saw on camera between the two of us was genuine. We were very supportive of each other and talked every day. We even vacationed together outside of the show. In fact, when I joined the cast four seasons ago, I gravitated most towards Nene. She was a reality TV veteran of sorts who took me under her wing and helped me navigate this new territory. I genuinely liked Nene because she was funny, smart, shared a similar work ethic to mine and we both knew we wanted to make the absolute most out of the opportunity we had both received by being on the show. Being a member of the highest rated show in the Housewives franchise opens doors and leads to opportunities that some of us could never have dreamed of.

Cynthia touches upon why she didn’t react to Nene during their trip to Mexico where the demise of their friendship subsequently happened.

Fans have asked why I didn’t return fire when Nene lashed out at Peter while in Mexico. Others have suggested that I am weak because of the way I choose to handle situations. Don’t let the pretty face fool you. I just choose my battles wisely, and prefer to get to a solution in a more appropriate and classy way. Frankly put, it’s just not who I am and I don’t respond that quickly in those types of extremely uncomfortable and volatile situations. In fact, I was completely stunned, and more than anything, I didn’t know how to respond in that moment.

When Nene called Peter a bitch that was the straw! Seeing it over again has obviously reopened doors that just didn’t sit right with Mrs. Bailey. Not to mention she called Nene out for basically treating her like Marlo when she was being friendly to Kenya.

The “bitch” incident was very disrespectful and a low point in our relationship. But as mature adults who genuinely cared about each other, we worked through the mess, and decided our friendship could survive. Don’t get me wrong; it was very difficult to forgive Nene for her harsh insult towards my husband because I would never refer to a friend’s husband in such a derogatory way. But we moved on.

We were all in a good place, or so I thought, until Nene felt that I was becoming too close to Kenya, “the enemy” as Nene referred to her on “Watch What Happens Live.” There is this ridiculous notion; of course being perpetuated by Nene, that Kenya and I have somehow become BFFs. Nothing could be farther from the truth. However, I am as friendly with Kenya as I am with Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams. What I will not do is stop being friendly, cordial, respectful or accommodating to people just because my friend or anyone else thinks I should. I don’t do petty. It’s not in my DNA.

Because I allowed Kenya to host a model call at BarOne, genuinely felt sorry for her when she lost her dog, and was seated next to her at the reunion, I am now somehow her best girlfriend. That’s absolutely ridiculous. Viewers will remember during her first season on the show, Kenya caused all kinds of confusion at my Bailey School of Fashion during a model search. On and off camera we had conversations about the incident and her unfortunate behavior. She apologized, we ironed things out, and moved on. Never have I gone on any talk shows or interviews and suggested that Kenya lose her job. And as far as I know never has she in regards to me. I think it’s unprofessional, divisive and petty.

But that’s exactly what Nene did when she appeared on “Watch What Happens Live.” I have seen the very best of Nene Leakes, and I witnessed the very worst of her during this appearance. What she did and said was not coming from a good place, and was downright dirty. The damage she thought she was doing to me, in turn has damaged her image more.

As I continued to watch, I began to feel sad for her. There has to be some personal insecurities and unhappiness she is dealing with to lash out so viciously at me. Then it dawned on me. Nene is hurt that I have moved on. In the end, I am relieved that our friendship is over.

As she watch Watched What Happens Live she listened as Nene said that she should be fired and that she brings nothing to show.

As I watched the show and listened to Nene say I wasn’t good for the show or that I bring nothing to the table, at one point I felt angry. She was being completely spiteful and malevolent. How could someone who I considered a really good friend attempt to essentially sabotage my job? I would never do anything that wasn’t in the best interest of her family. She’d rather see me off the show than to work with me and give me pure hell next season. Even Andy Cohen seemed shocked and surprised by what she was saying.

If I wasn’t relevant to the show, I wouldn’t be on the show. I absolutely believe I bring a certain amount of class and balance to the cast. There is not one single Housewife who is solely responsible for the success of the show. And the last time I checked, Nene is talent on the show just like me. She does not make hiring and firing decisions. Ultimately, that’s left up to Bravo executives.

Cynthia felt it fit to send one last burst of shade.

Famed writer and poet Margaret Walker wrote, “Friends and good manners will carry you where money won’t go.” Maybe Nene should embrace this and make it her personal mantra.

How do you feel about this letter that virtually explains Cynthia’s side of things. Do you agree or is she over reacting?

Porsha Apologizes To Everyone

Porsha Williams has been the topic of many discussions of hot topics pertaining to her fight with Kenya Moore. Although she has been relatively quiet she finally started talking this week. US weekly sat down with Porsha to get an exclusive interview with the “Flatline” singer.

During the interview she apologized to everyone including fans, viewers, and the other housewives. I’m assuming that’s way of apologizing to Kenya, too.

Williams talks about being bullied early on in life and abuse both physical and mental while she was married to Kordell Stewert. “I suffered severe bullying since I was a child, to the extent of contemplating suicide and was also physically and mentally abused in my marriage.”

Porsha continues, “Throughout the season on Real Housewives I was manipulated and bullied and at the reunion taping when emotions were heightened,” Williams, 31, explains. “I was pushed too far with objects waved in my face and my personal space was continuously violated, and I reacted in a way which I am not proud of.”

“Violence is not the answer and I want to apologize to my fans, the viewers and the other ladies for my behavior,” Williams tells Us. “For the thousands of supporters that have stuck by me I thank you immensely and encourage you to donate to shelters for abused woman and support charities that stop bullying. As I mentioned on the show I am embarrassed of my reaction and the way that I handled the provocation and I am dedicated to helping others learn appropriate ways to cope with bullies and abusers and from this experience I hope to continue on a path of personal and spiritual growth.”

Do you forgive Porsha?

NeNe Leakes Exposes Truth About Friendship With Cynthia Bailey

NeNe Leakes let Cynthia Bailey have it today on her official website today. She wanted to set the record straight about everything that went down between her and her ex-friend. During the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion Cynthia made a pretty convincing case to the world about how she felt about NeNe and their friendship.

Seems like Cynthia may have had arterial motives to try and stay on for season 7. Which included bringing up old mess that was already squashed before the reunion. That would also explain NeNe’s couldn’t be bothered attitude while tapping the reunion when the question came up.

Nene exploded on her official blog with the brunt of it going to directed at Cynthia.

As hopeful as I was for us to be life-long friends, I am not surprised our friendship has ended and it truly saddens me! Reality friendships never last anyway so how foolish was I to think I had made something special! It’s amazing what people are willing to do for the love of money, relevancy and to stay on TV! With Cynthia’s sell out personality and blow-with-the-wind persona I knew it was only a matter of time!

It’s always the ones that are the closet to you that will turn on you! I was totally blindsided by all this! Yes I called Peter the B-word in early October of last year and I have apologized numerous times for it! Cynthia and Peter accepted my apology and we simply moved on! Yes moved on to talking, traveling and texting several times a day as we always did! The four of us went to dinner, Cynthia hosted my curvy girl Model Call at Bar One and Peter was there to help us out. They were at the hospital with me, they spent Thanksgiving at my home, we celebrated the New Years together in Vegas, we were hanging out together during fashion week! She attended the Red Dress Heart Truth fashion show with me and Michael Costello’s fashion show, we celebrated her birthday early in NYC with a fun brunch at Lavo!

When the episode aired for all to see and the Twitterverse had their say, I guess she changed her mind and decided she needed to be mad nearly six months later! WOW! Who gets mad six months later? I know you tryin to pull the sympathy card but if you were such a good friend, why didn’t you pull me aside and talk to me about how you were feeling instead of dicing our friendship up in front of a bunch of people who don’t care! Surely I am worthy of that considering I have carried you on my back! I can admit when something hurts the same way I can apologize when I am wrong but hey who cares about a stupid friendship when you need to secure another season on the show! The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from the enemy!

For the record I don’t hate you! I just hate that you turned into everything you said you would never be! Good bye friend!

PS: If you or anyone else thinks the demise of our friendship is your storyline for season 7, think again flip-flopper!

Cynthia took sometime to respond to NeNe’s one on one with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live last night.

So what do you think about NeNe’s statement? Seems accurate enough right? Or do you see some loop wholes?

Porsha Williams Breaks Her Silence!

Porsha Williams has been relatively quiet after the RHOA brawl. On Tuesday April 29 Porsha will speak out on the wig snatch heard around the world, her failed marriage, and her new music career on Access Hollywood Live.

Porsha was obviously in shock by the events that accord last Sunday during the Real Housewives of Atlanta. “I had regrets immediately after. It didn’t take for me to get home to watch it. It was–as soon as it happened and I opened my eyes, I realized what had happened and to just walk you through it from the beginning to the end. We have to go back further than just the reunion…”

“I saw the hate. I saw the anger. I saw all of that in Kenya’s eye that moment,” said as she describes moments that took place during the brawl. “And I felt threatened, honestly I did, it was a weapon.”

Posha lets you know that what you see is full on Porsha, straight no chaser “When I’m in front of the camera, I wanna act, but then once the camera’s on I’m Porsha… But for Kenya, she looks at this as a job. It’s a show to her; it’s just entertainment. So she doesn’t take anything seriously…And so for her I’m like the complete opposite because here I am living this real life and here she is portraying one.”

She also takes time to thank everyone for all the support she has been getting in the past weeks, but she says that their is something deeper then just being Team Porsha. “It’s not about team Porsha. It’s about team truth it’s about team what’s right and for me I don’t want people just to be like oh team Porsha, that’s great and I appreciate the love but understand the deeper thing that’s going on here, it’s bullying. Bullying can happen as an adult it can happen as a child in college on your work place everywhere.”

Ok, so Porsha said what I expected her to say but from the looks of things she seems to be doing really well. No word on if she is fired from the show or not but whatever happens I’m sure she have tons of things lined up if she is. Good Luck Porsha.

NeNe Leakes Goes In On Kenya Moore In Official Statement On RHOA Reunion Brawl

giphy (1)

NeNe Leakes has already let us know that she has a strong dislike for Kenya Moore! She recently took to her official website and explaining that Kenya taunted, invaded, pushed, provoked and lied all season. Then poses the question “What message are you sending?”

I’ve sat through many reunion shows, but this one takes the cake for me! My feelings are simple! You TAUNT, you INVADE people’s personal space, you PUSH, you PROVOKE, you LIEand yet you don’t condone violence! Well, what message are you sending? I feel like I’ve been put in provoking situations all season!

  1. Bringing Marlo to the Bailey Bowl when I was always told that she wasn’t the Bravo brand
  2. Allowing Kenya to pull my ear during the “All White” party in episode 1
  3. Pushing me into a charity event that everyone knew I wasn’t invited to!

If I had reacted in a violent manner in any of these situations I would be considered the bad one, the one that is wrong, the one that is mean. But at the same time is all of THIS really ok? I wanna hear from you! When is it “okay” to BULLY someone, then question retaliation? Should there have been a halt to the foolish antics? Should PROPS be allowed in situations such as this? Speak On It!

~ NeNe Leakes

Do you agree with NeNe? Is it right to bully people into situation and not expect some kind of retaliation?

Kenya Moore Releases A Statement After #RHOA Brawl, NeNe Leakes Speaks Out

 Wilford Harewood/Bravo

Wilford Harewood/Bravo

About 4 million viewers tuned into the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion last night to see what actually went down between Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore. Watching the train wreck go down was admittedly hard to watch but what was even more hard to watch was Kenya Moore’s actions as played the victim and used unnecessary props to try to prove to the world that she is indeed very relevant.

Prior to the shows airing Kenya called 911 on Porsha resulting in a warrant for Porsha’s arrest and a fabulous mug shot. Until now none of the girls haven’t said anything. Kenya Moore released a statement earlier today in attempts  to make us feel sorry for her. Not buying it!

During the taping of the Reunion Episode for the Real Housewives of Atlanta, I was violently attacked by Porsha Williams. The episode, which aired tonight, Sunday, April 20, 2014, was taped in front of an audience of over 50 people, which included cast, crew, guests and executives, who served as witnesses. I called 911 to report the incident. The Atlanta police conducted an independent investigation, which included viewing the raw footage of the incident.  As a result, Porsha Williams was charged with battery. The authorities will decide her fate, not me.

There are many inflammatory statements made by cast members to and about each other particularly during the reunion tapings. Many have made untrue, denigrating, disparaging, and inflammatory statements against me in an attempt to provoke me, but I have never reacted in a violent way.  My intellect and my brain are my most powerful weapons—not my fists. If people get so angry that they lose control and admittedly “black out” and resort to violence, those persons must be held responsible for their actions. Being a cast member on a reality show does not absolve people of their rights.

After being repeatedly attacked by an abusive boyfriend at the age of 17, if someone puts their hands on me, I will not just let it go.  With that said, I sought self-defense training developed for the Israeli military. I’ve also been trained in weapons. I can take someone down in three moves. It took discipline for me not to respond in kind.  As violent responses escalate, they can quickly result in severe injury or even death.

Being the second Black woman to be crowned Miss USA, there are little girls who look up to me. I would never want those girls, my nieces, or my future children to see me fighting anyone. That’s the lesson we should all want to send, especially to young people—that no matter how angry someone makes you feel by what they say to or about you, violence is never an option. #stoptheviolence

So poor Kenya… I know many people are tired of Kenya putting herself in situations then playing the victim after things get a little crazy. In her twisted mind it’s all purposely done to get people out of character. Now of course I am not condoning Porsha’s actions but I can understand her actions as well. Kenya pushed her to the edge and like Kenya has said before, “You feeling froggy? Jump!” Porsha jumped on that ass too!

Notice how no one came to Kenya’s defense. Everyone was more worried about Porsha’s well-being. She’s has pushed all the girls buttons in some way and none of them could be bothered. NeNe Leakes coming to help Posha spoke volumes to me. Leakes also took to twitter to give support to Porsha Williams!

It’s obvious that NeNe Leakes is #TeamPorsha who’s side are you on?

What Really Happened Between Porsha Williams & Kenya Moore???

The drama was on fire during the tapping of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion on March 27th! Rumors are swirling that Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore got into a physical altercation leading to Porsha pulling Kenya across the room by the hair! I didn’t believe it at all. What really happen?

The fact of the matter is I wouldn’t be surprise is they did fight. Porsha and Kenya have been going at from the first time they met!

Sources tell Us Weekly that the story has been blown out of whack and tells the magazine what really happened. “They did get into an altercation. Porsha stood up, so then Kenya stood up,” an insider tells Us. “Porsha charged at Kenya and pulled her hair, but it was over in a matter of seconds. Porsha never dragged her by her hair. Andy [Cohen] and a producer jumped in and then security came.”

“Kenya is fine,” the insider adds. On if she will press charges? “You never know with these ladies.”

I am Team Porsha on this one! You can only push someone so far before they lash out and want to whoop some tail! I’m sure Kenya will play the victim and say Porsha is crazy and she is being defensive because she knows she was Kordell’s  beard. You know how she does.

Now apparently, after digging further the reunion taping lasted 15 hours! None of the other housewives came to Kenya’s aid during the altercation, rightfully so! They are not her friends and are more then likely fed up with he craziness.

Now all the housewives are totally on backing Porsha because they feel Kenya has cross the line. NeNe Leakes was the first to show Porsha support after the blow out!

To add insult to injury Kenya wants Porsha, the actual housewife, fired from the show!
