For those of you who don’t know or maybe confused as to who little Lil Boosie is and why is everyone so happy he is free at last here is a small run down.

Lil Boose is a popular rapper from Louisiana and was born Torrence Hatch.   released from Louisiana’s Angola State Penitentiary on Wednesday night after serving four years of an eight-year prison sentence for a drug conviction and probation violation.

Here is a small blurb from MTV about why he ended up in the big house to begin with:

“Boosie has been incarcerated since June 2010, when he was brought up on first-degree murder charges stemming from the October 2009 shooting death of rap artist Terry Boyd. Boosie was accused of paying then 19-year old Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to kill the 35-year old man, but was found not guilty in May of 2011 after a week of testimony and jury deliberation.

“In November of 2011, months after being found not guilty in the murder trial, Boosie pleaded guilty to three counts of conspiring to smuggle drugs, which resulted in his eight-year sentence.”

His record label, Atlantic Records,  has organized a press conference March 10th at 1 p.m. at the W Hotel in New Orleans.

“He will absolutely be there,” an Atlantic Records representative said. “He’ll be speaking to the press for the first time, after his release.”

Lil Boosie will be on parole until 2018.
